Your details
We collect as little as we can. Here is all of it.
What you write on a sheet
Nothing you fill in on a sheet leaves your device. The questionnaires are on paper or in your own PDF. Your results are yours.
The on-screen self-check and walk-through
Your answers stay in the page you have open. They aren't sent to us, and they aren't saved. Close the page and they're gone.
The naming question
At the end of the walk-through and the self-check, we ask which name for “drift pattern” is clearest. If you answer, we store your pick, any word you suggest, which page you were on, and whether you were signed in. We don't store your name or email with it. Your self-check answers are never sent with it.
Sheet ratings
When you rate a sheet, we store your three ratings, any note you add, whether you ticked the problem box, the sheet code and version, and the date. We don't store your name or email with a rating.
Your browser keeps a random code so that your ratings group together. It says nothing about who you are. Clearing your browser data removes it.
Please don't name people or describe real cases in a note.
Searches
When you search the guide, we keep the words you typed, how many sheets matched, and whether you were signed in. We don't keep who typed them. This tells us which topics people look for and don't find.
Access requests
When you ask for access, we store your name, email, organization, role and anything you add. We use them only to set up your access and to email you about it. We don't add you to a mailing list.
Email updates
The request form has a separate, optional box for email updates. If you tick it, we store that you said yes, and the date. We'll only email you about the guide, such as when new sheets come out. Every email says who it's from and has a link to unsubscribe. You can also email us to stop them.
If you don't tick the box, we only email you about your access.
The Leading Under Pressure course
If you ask to join a group, we store your request: your name, email, organization if you give it, the pace you'd like, any note, and the date. The owner gets a short email about it, sent through Resend. If you tick the course box on the access request form, we store that too.
If you join a course group, we store the group, the name you chose, and whether you're listed for partner invites. We also store which modules you've started and finished, your three ratings for each module, and any partner invites you send or answer.
Your partner sees your name and email, and nothing else. Others in your group see your name only if you're listed. Your organizer sees your name, email, how many modules you've finished and who your partner is. Module ratings are shown to them only as group averages. Invites and acceptances are emailed through Resend.
Signing in
If your request is approved, we keep your email address so you can sign in. You sign in with a button or a code sent to that address. There is no password. We also keep the date you last signed in.
Your browser remembers that you're signed in, so you don't need a new code each visit. Choosing Sign out clears that.
Where it's kept
The site is served by Cloudflare. Ratings, searches, naming picks, access requests and sign-in details are stored with Supabase in Canada. Only the guide's owner can read them. Sign-in emails are sent through Resend, an email service in the United States. It handles your email address and the message, and nothing else about you. When you ask for access, Resend also carries a short note to the guide's owner with the details from your request. We count page visits without cookies, and we don't use ads or sell anything about you.
The typefaces on the site load from Google Fonts. That means Google's servers see that your browser asked for them. No other information about you is sent there.
Removing your details
Email hello@workplacefieldguide.com and we'll delete your access request, and your sign-in if you have one. Because ratings carry no name, send us the sheet and date if you want a rating removed.
